Since Malta is a group of small islands, much of the interior is cultivated. You will find vineyards, farmland and small orchards, usually divided by stone walls. However, local vegetation also, such as shrubs, flowering plants, cacti, and palm trees can also be commonly seen. Although Malta isn't very green, there is plenty of plan life to be found. |

Like most other Mediterranean islands, Malta is home to a wide variety of animal life. If you look closely, you may just see fish near the sea shore, or bees pollinating flowers, or lizards scurrying around in the sun. |
