The Archaeological Museum in Palermo houses many of Sicily's historical treasures. Above, there are three fine examples of ancient Greek art, a vase showing Athena fighting giants, a bronze statue of Ares, and a marble sculpture of a Greek dancer. Below is a bust of the Roman Emperor Tiberius and some fine examples of Byzantine jewellery. |
