For those fond of art history and archaeology, especially for the late Roman and early Byzantine periods, Tunisia has much to offer. The above cities all date from this period and many mosaics found at these and other sites are housed in the Bardo Museum in Tunis. Of course, there is also Punic, Numidian, and Arab art history and archaeology.
