invading Sicily and Southern Europe. In more recent times, the city has inherited something of a French character to
it. Today, the city is an interesting blend of a traditional Tunisian town and a modern touristic resort. Interesting sites
in Sousse include a fine museum, several early Christian catacombs, and the fortified medieval Medina.
